Jeto, Klaten, Java — est. 2022
A small workshop in the middle of Java. We print by hand, and we seek out makers whose work deserves to be seen. Every piece has a story. Every story is real.
Living Garment
Every Blumbang garment carries a small QR code. Scan it anywhere in the world — and the garment records that moment, that city, on a living map.
Not where it was made. Where it went. A kaos born in Jeto, Klaten — spotted later in Tokyo, Amsterdam, or Mahé. The story grows every time someone wears it somewhere new.
The people behind it
Master Screen Printer · since 1998
Twenty-six years of ink and mesh. Bang Arie has been screen printing since before most of our customers owned a phone. Every garment that leaves this workshop passes through his hands.
Batik Tulis · Bayat, Klaten
From the batik village of Bayat — ten minutes from our workshop. Bu Lastri makes batik tulis the slow way: hand-drawn wax, natural dyes, days of patient work. Not mass produced. Not rushed.
Stone Craft · Lereng Merapi
Volcanic stone from the slopes of Mount Merapi, shaped into basins and surfaces by craftsmen who've worked this material for generations. Heavy, honest, made to last centuries.
From the workshop & beyond
Why we exist
"We started because we had to.
We kept going because it mattered."
